The Blair – Golden Ridge Project is located approximately 25km southeast of Kalgoorlie. The Blair Nickel Mine was developed by WMC Resources Limited and production commenced in 1990. There were three separate mining periods, with the most recent concluding in December 2008 due to the Global Financial Crisis and the low nickel price. Multiple nickel prospects within the Project tenure have been identified and tested with the most recent work conducted in early 2020, where the Leo Dam prospect was drilled tested and down-hole electromagnetic (DHEM) surveys were conducted.
Wattle Dam Nickel Joint Venture
ESS holds a 20% interest in the nickel rights and is free-carried to a decision to mine with Maximus Resources Ltd (ASX:MXR) holding a 80% interest and managing the JV
The Wattle Dam Project tenements are located in the highly productive Kambalda nickel belt with world class nickel mines located nearby. Maximus Resources are actively exploring for gold and nickel on the Project tenure.
